We had an eventful weekend leading up to Halloween what with a snowstorm and costumes to finish, a pumpkin to carve, and a party to attend. There's nothing like waiting until the last minute and then trying to cram it all in! But it all worked out and we had a lovely time with all of it, especially the party, which was a first for us. The kids (and grown-ups) had so much fun with fellow homeschoolers--bobbing for apples, attempting to eat donuts on a string, wrapping each other up as mummies, and peeking at a ghoulish tableau put on by the older kids. It was the perfect way to spend a snowy Sunday afternoon!
It will be a very different experience trick-or-treating with snow on the ground this year. We usually have unseasonably warm weather on Halloween. We might be looking at an early night, which is just fine with me (as long as there a few Snickers in the kids' bags!) Happy Halloween!!
